Diammonium Phosphate (DAP)

Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) is the most widely utilized phosphorus fertilizer. Made from two common constituents in the fertilizer industry (ammonia & phosphoric acid), its nigh nutrient content and great physical properties make it an excellent choice for farming and other industries. With a high content of phosphorous and nitrogen, its high solubility in water make it an excellent source of plant nutrition as it quickly dissolves in soil.

Other applications include using DAP as a fire retardant due to its high combustion temperature and high char production. This is especially helpful in fighting wildfires as it reduces the amount of available fuel.
