Description
Petrochemicals or petroleum distillates are chemical products derived from petroleum. The two most common petrochemical classes are Olefins and Aromatics. Olefins are mostly used as a basis in the production of polymers and oligomers used in plastics, resins, fibers, elastomers, lubricants, and gels. Aromatics are used in the production solvents, detergents and adhesives.
